About the role
BayWa r.e. is undertaking a major digital transformation program, including the implementation and support of Workday Finance and Procurement across its many global entities.
• You will be part of a collaborative international team of in-house Workday functional experts and support team, responsible for rolling out Workday in a standardized approach across Germany and further countries in the next years
• You will be able to build experience across Workday Finance and Procurement modules
• You will be empowered to implement globally defined processes, recommend best practices, and drive change across the entire organization
What you will do:
- Primary focus is to deliver the migration of legacy finance data into Workday for a subset of BayWa r.e. entities/SPVs, from providing the relevant guidance to the business, to collecting, transforming, and validating the data within the project deadlines
- Build up expertise in a subset of Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R) processes across all business segments (ie Projects, Asset Operations, IPP, Holding, etc), and maintain knowledge of new functionality and compliance changes
- Collaborate with the entire Workday team to align on cross-application topics, and identify test cases and priorities for a successful rollout
- Collaborate with the Workday Support Team to provide Tier 3 financial functional support and deliver enhancements and process improvements within expert area
- Support the continuous development and optimization of processes in cooperation with various departments, acting as a sparring partner for internal controls, policies, and procedures
What you’ll need to succeed
- "IFRS Accountant", BA in accounting or similar qualification
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial accounting in a multinational working environment
- Demonstrated responsibilities in major accounting and related finance areas (incl, GL, AP, AR, financial closing, intercompany accounting, tax, reporting)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new complex software
- Exceptional capabilities within Excel
- Exceptional problem-solving, multi-tasking, and analytical skills, with a high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to clearly explain and train on new concepts
- Clear communication and ability to work with stakeholders across cultures and at all levels
- Ability to both collaborate with a team and work independently
- Fluent English is a requirement, both written and spoken
- Prior experience implementing an ERP system is a big plus
