Windpark 't Hanik

Overview:

Windpark ‘t Hanik is a project in development in the municipality of Venlo, near the German border in the Netherlands. The wind farm will consist of approximately 3 wind turbines.

The nearby inhabitants will receive access to locally generated electricity, and the local businesses will benefit from more energy security.

The wind farm is being developed in collaboration with the local energy cooperative Samenstroom. This way, we ensure that a high-quality project will be developed that makes a positive contribution to the livability of the area and allows the local community to share in the profits.

With this initiative, we will:

  • Ensure 50% local ownership

  • Contribute to the sustainability of the local industry

  • Contribute a fixed amount per generated MWh to a community fund

  • Help to improve the energy efficiency of the nearest homes
